Callie Lissina

Callie Lissina

Instructor

Callie has loved training in jazz, lyrical, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, and tap since she began dancing at the age of three. Growing up as a competitive dancer at Marr Mac she received overall high score awards for her lyrical and pointe solos, and in 2015 she completed the Advanced 1 vocational exam in Imperial Classical Ballet (I.S.T.D.) with merit standing.

Callie keeps her knowledge and choreographic styles current and maintains a wide-ranging style repertoire through recent training at many of the top studios across Canada. These include Harbour Dance Centre (Vancouver), the National Ballet of Canada In-Studio training (Toronto), and Studio North (Toronto). Recently, in a 2-week dance residency funded by the Edmonton Arts Council, she collaborated with four other artists to research how teachers can best support dancers in learning and retaining choreography.

Callie has danced and choreographed for pre-professional dance companies including Mod Contemporary Dance Movement (2017-18) and Three Point Dance Company (2021-present).

With nearly 10 years of experience as a dance instructor in jazz, lyrical, and ballet, Callie’s goal is to enable dance training to play a profoundly positive role in her students’ lives and personal growth. Outside the studio, Callie holds a BSc. Mechanical Engineering with a math minor and is a co-founder of the Edmonton-based space company Wyvern.
