Brett Bowser trained in Vancouver, BC where she began dancing at the age of 6.
At the age of 15 Brett attended the Socapa Arts Summer program in New York City where she got her first experience working on film.
In the Fall of 2010 she trained both in her home studio as well as Harbour Dance Centre where she was later accepted into their Intensive Training Company at the age of 17. A year later Brett took part in “Lux Dance Co.” opening year.
Throughout the years Brett has performed on stage, video, and flash mobs, including performances in California, New York, and Seattle at various events.
Brett has been teaching since the age of 17 and is now the owner and founder of Motives Dance and Fitness Company based in Edmonton.
Brett’s goal through Motives Dance and Fitness Company is to inspire dancers to be themselves and explore what makes each of them unique. Brett teaches her students not only technique, but also the importance of confidence and encourages her students to go beyond their comfort zone to experience dance from within.

Miss Kati is a passionate, dedicated choreographer, educator and evaluator. She graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Dance Arts in Budapest as a professional dance arts performer and danced with the Hungarian State Opera.
After leaving Hungary, Miss Kati taught classical repertoire in Italy and was assistant to the Artistic Director in the Theatre of Ulm, Germany.
Since arriving in Edmonton Canada, Miss Kati has taught, choreographed and ran examinations for organizations like the Russian Vaganova Dance Society, DanceCo, the Royal Glenora Club, Sandra Gray School of Dancing, Shelly’s Dance Company, Citie Ballet, Dance Theme, Dance at Brijet’s and others.
Her primary focus has been as a ballet educator and choreographer, teaching ballet, pointe, modern dance and flexibility technique. Miss Kati has been a Vaganova examiner for almost two decades, and she is an adjudicator for ballet competitions.
Miss Kati’s instruction helps students improve elements essential to a professional or competitive career. Her philosophy on dance is “you should never stop learning”. Miss Kati is looking forward to teaching at the Marr-Mac Summer Dance Intensive.

Cathy joined Marr-Mac in 1982 as a dancer and the next year began to teach Ballet. In 1995 she became Deane Marr’s business partner. Together they have taken various teaching and dance courses in Toronto, Winnipeg, St. Petersburg Russia, Vancouver Calgary and Montreal. Cathy is ISTD and RAD trained in Classical Ballet obtaining her Advanced standing as a dancer in both syllabi.
She also has her Elementary level in National and Modern and holds her Licentiate Teaching certificate with the I.S.T.D.
She has since expanded her training into the Russian Vaganova Technique of teaching classical Ballet through workshops in St. Petersburg Russia and Ballet Divertimento School in Montreal. Her students have made the transition to the Russian technique. Cathy is also President of the Vaganova Dance Society.

Dasha was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She started her dance training at Dance Alberta in her home town, and studied various forms of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop.
At the age of 13, Dasha was accepted to the School of Alberta Ballet in Calgary, and moved there shortly after the ninth grade. While living in Calgary, Dasha focussed of ballet and contemporary, and was exposed to many guest teachers, choreographers, and various artists that inspired her.
Dasha has been taught by various dancers from Ballet BC, Paul Taylor Company, and the Royal Ballet. She has performed in many shows across Canada, which have broadened her ability to share her love of dance.
Dasha was one of the few graduates who graduated from the Dedicated Contemporary Stream at the School of Alberta Ballet. In addition, Dasha is very fascinated by different styles of choreography, which she is still working on, including a piece she choreographed with another artist on the schools Contemporary Stream.
She is very excited to share her passion and knowledge with younger generations.

Sarah grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, and started her life as a dancer at the young age of 3. She started competing at age 5 and trained in several disciplines including jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, tap, and hip hop.
Sarah also completed her Advanced I Cecchetti Ballet examination standing. After high school graduation she attended one year at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Science.
Feeling a need for a change in lifestyle, Sarah moved to Vancouver where she was accepted into the Intensive Training Program at Harbor Dance Centre. She graduated June 2015 from the program in which she trained for 25 hours a week in contemporary, ballet, hip hop, street jazz, broadway and tap. This experience opened up many opportunities for personal growth and discovery and Sarah is thankful for the experience.
Sarah is moving back to Edmonton to return to school at the University of Alberta, this time in the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation, working towards a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. This will be her first year teaching with Marr Mac and she’s excited to continue her life in dance in a new way which allows her to share what she’s learned in her dance journey so far.
Monika began her ballet training at the age of 4 years old in Edmonton, Alberta. She trained with the ballet Company in Wroclaw, Poland, as well as under private tutelage. She competed in many competitions, and in 1990 entered the International Ballet competition in Jackson, Mississippi, USA.
She graduated with honours and received a diploma from the Tbilisi State Choreographic Ballet School in Russia.
Aside from dancing in Europe and Canada, she has adjudicated, examined, taught workshops and trained dancers as well as Elite athletes in Schools and Clubs across Canada and the USA. Monika helped train Canada’s 2004 Olympic Gold medallist figure skaters, Jamie Sale and David Pelletier.
She worked with the Aurora Synchronized Swim Club from 1997 until the fall of 2006, under head coach Sherry Vanin-Robertson. In 2000, Monika taught ballet, stretch and flexibility to the Chinese Olympic Synchronized Swim Team.
She has worked with the Jr. Canadian Synchronized Swim team (2004) and assisted in choreographing the on deck duet routine. In 2005 she taught a seminar/workshop for Kristin Normand teaching ballet. In 2011 she taught the Aurora Synchronized Swim Club dry land summer camp under head coach Jaime Thompson.
She also works with Elite, National level Edmonton Kinsmen Divers and the Ice Palace Figure Skating Club. She continues to train Elite, National and current Olympic hopeful figure skater, Katelyn Osmond as well as other athletes.

After high school graduation she attended the Intensive Training Program (ITP) at Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver. This involved training 25 hours a week in contemporary, ballet, hip hop, street jazz, broadway and tap and several performance opportunities.
Sarah then moved back to Edmonton and is attending the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Science. Since returning to Edmonton, Sarah has taught dance summer camps and choreographed for studios around Edmonton.
Sarah was also a part of Sarah Dolan’s O2 Dance Company in Calgary and performed in her latest show “Pieces” in the Spring of 2016.
Sarah is excited to be teaching with Marr Mac and share her love of dance.
